Alvanley provides coaching and competitive cricket for boys and girls from Reception age through to adult cricket

Our teams

Our mixed teams are:

Reception age children follow our 'All Stars' programme
Unders 7s. Mixed gender coaching on Friday evenings
Under 9s. Mixed gender coaching on Friday evenings and matches in the Cheshire County League & the North Cheshire League
Under 12s Mixed Softball (years 5, 6 and 7) - follow the 'Dynamos' programme and play matches v other clubs
Under 11s Mixed Hardball coaching on Friday evenings and matches in the North Cheshire League and Cheshire County league
Under 13s Girls. Coaching on Friday evenings and matches in the West Cheshire League
U13s. Mixed gender coaching on Friday evenings and matches in the North Cheshire League and Cheshire County league
U15s. Mixed gender coaching on Friday evenings and matches in the North Cheshire League League and Cheshire County league

Our aims

To provide safe, fun, challenging coaching and game-time for ALL our children.

To provide exit routes into senior cricket at age 14 for our girls into Women's cricket and from age 15 for boys into men's cricket and encourage all our juniors to access county-run courses as a potential route into district and county cricket.

Safeguarding

Winning teams

In 2018 and 2021 the U9s went all the way to the Cheshire Cup finals. The icing on the cake came in 2023 when they won the County League after a great final against Macclesfield.

The 11s won the North Cheshire Cup in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022. and 2023. In 2023 they went all the way and won the Cheshire County League!!

The U13s Girls won the West Cheshire League in 2019

Graduates

In recent years, former Alvanley Junior Sophie Ecclestone has gone on to play for Lancs and England. She is currently the world number 1 bowler!

Former Alvanley Junior Chris Charles didn't just go on to captain the club's 1st XI but in 2018 made his full Cheshire debut

Charlie Barratt and Isla Entwistle are in their 5th year of playing for Cheshire Under Isla has captained the the team also.

In 2023, Ieuan Morris, George Olson, Ted Hayhurst, Lucy Graham, Ollie Entwistle and Eleri Morris joined Isla and Charlie as Cheshire players.

Ieuan and Isla are also on the Emerging Players Pathway

For many years now the club has met the criteria (with flying colours) for quality. ECB Clubmark (although now being replaced) has been displayed on the pavilion wall consistently since accreditation began
